Ide Sake Brewery
The Ide Brewery is the only sake brewery in the Fuji Five Lakes area. Its soy sauce and miso production date back roughly 300 years, while it has brewed sake for about 170 years. The brewery is well known for its Kaino-Kaiun brand. The cool climate at 850 meters above sea level and abundant spring water from Mt. Fuji produce aromatic, elegant-tasting sake. In 2020, the brewery also expanded into Whisky production, creating a distinct new aroma under the brand name Daijukai. Along with tastings and products for sale, you can take a brewery tour in English, where you’ll be guided on the brewing process and enjoying the final product (a distillery tour is included).
