Photo of the Yamanakako Hanano-Miyako Flower Park

The Hanano-Miyako Park is a vast field of flowers spanning approximately 300,000 square meters (74 acres) located on the lakeside of Yamanakako, the closest lake to Mount Fuji. Throughout the seasons, a variety of flowers such as tulips, sunflowers, zinnia, and cosmos bloom magnificently, offering a spectacular view in collaboration with Mount Fuji towering beyond the flower fields. The park's Seiryu-no-Sato area features highlights like the 80-meter-wide (262 feet) Myojin Waterfall, triple large waterwheels, an underground observation facility for lava tree molds, and the Floral Dome Furara all-weather greenhouse. From December 1st to January 15th, visitors can witness the “Diamond Fuji” phenomenon, where the setting sun aligns perfectly with the summit of Mount Fuji. This relaxing garden allows visitors to enjoy flowers and majestic nature at the foot of Mount Fuji throughout the year.
