Ukai Toriyama
This "irori" (sunken hearth) charcoal fire restaurant is nestled within the Okutakao region, with a clear stream flowing nearby. The vast premises include historical buildings and Japanese architecture, such as a "gassho-zukuri" house with wooden beams and a thatched roof, relocated from Ecchu Gokayama in Toyama Prefecture. The restaurant offers private rooms facing the Japanese garden, for enjoyable dining amid Japanese culture and natural surroundings. Chicken, "wagyu," and seasonal vegetables are served cooked over a hearth, and in winter, you can enjoy seasonal "nabe" (hot pot) and freshly grilled fish.
