"Monjayaki" is a uniquely Tokyo dish, originating as a snack sold in old-style sweet shops called "dagashiya," in traditional areas of the city, especially Tsukishima. Its ingredients are mixed into a batter with flour beaten in, and the combination is cooked on a griddle table. Each diner uses a small spatula to break off portions and grill them to their liking. Tsukishima Monja Koboreya is an elegant and outstanding choice on Tsukishima’s Monja Street. The restaurant welcomes you with top-notch hospitality and "monjayaki" made with the finest ingredients from all over Japan, such as Yamagata beef, Kyoto vegetables, seafood from Toyosu Market, and "tenkasu" tempura batter bits from Michelin-starred restaurants.
