Tsukiji Jisaku
This Japanese restaurant, which opened in 1931, is located in a historical mansion built in 1899 for the family of Yataro Iwasaki, the founder of Mitsubishi. In these surroundings, you can still feel the atmosphere from that time. The restaurant, just a five-minute walk from Tsukiji Market, the heart of Tokyo's food scene, has a Japanese garden with picturesque seasonal views and a large pond with carp swimming around. The signature dish is "mizutaki" (a chicken and vegetable hotpot in a special broth), made using a recipe passed down from generation to generation since the restaurant's founding.
