Shinjuku Station is the busiest train station in the world, and Shinjuku itself is one of the world’s busiest places. Leaving the sprawling station, where it’s easy to get lost, you can head to the Nishi-Shinjuku (west Shinjuku) area, lined with skyscrapers. A massive Godzilla head some 40 meters up, looks down on Shinjuku's famous Kabukicho entertainment district. Wandering through the food and beverage district, packed with small bars in areas such as Omoide Yokocho and Shinjuku Golden Gai, is another unique experience here. Meanwhile, far above the busy streets, you can take in a panoramic view of Tokyo from the observation floors of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
