Waraji Katsudon

"Waraji katsudon" is a deep-fried pork cutlet served on a bed of rice seasoned with sweet and spicy soy sauce-based sauce. "Waraji" in fact means woven straw sandals, referring here to the large-sized cutlets. This popular local delicacy is served at small eateries around Chichibu Station, which are frequented by local residents.
