Oyama Afuri Shrine is an ancient Shinto shrine located on Mt. Oyama in Kanagawa Prefecture, with a history spanning over 2,200 years. Founded during Emperor Sujin's reign, the shrine is divided into a lower shrine and a main shrine at the mountain's peak. Its name "Afuri" derives from the Japanese word for rainfall, reflecting its primary function of praying for rain and bountiful harvests.
