Gallery & Café Funakata Soko
This venue is an art gallery and café renovated from a 100-year-old stone warehouse, featuring walls made from precious Boshu rock, a tuff suited for building materials and is designated as a Chiba Prefecture’ official stone. It permanently displays woks by painter Kazuo Mizoguchi, who depicts the landscapes of Minamiboso, rotating the exhibits seasonally. At the café, visitors savor coffee, bagel sandwiches, and sweets in a nostalgic atmosphere while lingering in the afterglow of the art.
